Il Trovatore è uno dei ristoranti più antichi di Venezia, situato a pochi passi da Piazza San Marco e dalla fermata del vaporetto di San Zaccaria.

Warm and friendly service paired with delicious food! The bread arrived fresh, hot, and smoky—absolutely loved it. The squid ink spaghetti & the grilled fish was delightful, and the meal ended perfectly with a smooth caramel pudding.
This was the absolute best meal I had and all of Venice. The restaurant was booked for a group from Thailand that was visiting, but the waiter absolutely accepted us, politely and even serenade us with the saxophone. They were friendly and attentive.
This restaurant was the absolute best part of my trip to Italy. The owner was warm and showed so much hospitality. It felt like family. The seafood pasta was the best I’ve ever had! The cuisine is homemade and crafted with love. The atmosphere was filled with mouthwatering aromas. I can’t wait to return!
We had a great lunch last Saturday in Trovatore restaurant. Starter was amazing with so many seafood options. First dish we had was Linguine with scampi and it was delicious. Excellent organization and service, so really recommended !!
Amazing food! We ordered two sets, the portion is small but after finishing the seafood soup we are all full.
very nice food with a classic and cozy environment.. and delicious food. I always take my groups in this restaurant and all the time every body is very satisfied of having such food. staff and manager are very warm and so corporative and so fast. If you visit venice do not forget to try this restaurant.
Lovely atmosphere! Food was ok but the tiramisu was the real superstar here
It was a really good experience. The stuff is kind and helpful. The food and the wine is great, it equals with the prices and the quality. And the best thing, it wasn't crowded even in the carneval, it looked like I rented it for myself. Highly recommend!
Great food, great price and the best service we have had in Europe so far (Paris, Nice and Florence). With our reservation, the chef prepared an extra appetizer and dessert at no cost. The table setting was romantic and the way the staff served the meal and cleared the table was first class. The wine menu is superb; I recommend the Chianti Classico (local and the best red wine) and the seafood is fresh. This place is a must and a hidden gem in Venice.
Best seafood pasta ever !!!!! We ate the most tasty pasta with awesome seafood we have ever eaten. Staff was very kind and professional, a special thanks to the owner Domenico and Valerio. Really recommended.
